  Wolfpack Win Bronze at MV/OE Invite
The Wolfpack moved to 3-3 overall after winning both matches Saturday to take 9th place and win the Bronze pool at the MV/OE Invite. The Pack defeated Joliet Central 25-3, 25-10 and Batavia 25-18, 25-19. On Friday, the Wolfpack lost to Sterling in three, lost to eventual tournament champions Joliet Catholic in two and defeated OPRF in two. Maria Gazzi and Lindsey Zver received All-Tournament honors for the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack moved to 4-3 overall with a non-conference win over OPRF 25-19, 25-19. Jill Bennett led the way with 10 kills while Kate Danaher had 12 assists. Maria Gazzi held down the defense with 19 digs.

  Wolfpack Holds On Against Latin
Latin gave the Wolfpack (5-3 overall) everything they had in game one on Wednesday but the Pack held on for a 29-27, 25-19 win at home. Bridget McCarthy (10 kills), Alysa Ross (10 assists) and Maria Gazzi (15 digs) helped lead the Pack to their 5th win in a row.

  Wolfpack Take 3rd at West Aurora Invite
The Wolfpack moved to 8-4 overall after going 3-1 at the West Aurora Invite on Saturday. Ignatius defeated South Elgin 25-15, 25-16 and Plainfield South 25-16, 25-16 in pool play to move the Gold bracket. The Wolfpack then faced Joliet Catholic for the second time this season but did not fair any better losing in two straight games 25-14, 25-19. In the 3rd place match the Pack eased to a 25-22, 25-9 win. Lauren Brunsvold (14 kills, 6 aces) and Maria Gazzi (45 digs) led the way for the Wolfpack.

Kate Danaher dished out 13 assists while Maria Gazzi anchored the defense with 14 digs. Coach Eastman and Ryan are now just three wins away from #300!

The Wolfpack battled for three games against defending 3A State Champion Marian Catholic on Thursday. The Pack lost 20-25, 25-23, 21-25 to the Spartans as Jill Bennett led the way with 11 kills and 4 blocks. Alysa Ross (13 assists), Bridget McCarthy (7 kills), Lauren Brunsvold (4 aces, 6 kills) and Maria Gazzi (20 digs) also had big nights for the Pack as they drop to 9-5 overall.

Maria Gazzi tied the All-Time single season dig record with 33 while Jill Bennett and Bridget McCarthy had 11 kills each. Kate Danaher (14 assists), Alysa Ross (14 assists, 14 digs) and Lindsey Zver (6 kills) also contributed to the win. This was win #298 for Coach Eastman as he is just two wins away from the 300 mark in his career at Ignatius. Coach Eastman will become the All-Time winningest girls volleyball coach in Ignatius history this season and could reach the 300 win mark next week. Go Wolfpack!</o:p> </p>

The Wolfpack moved to 11-6 overall and 2-0 in the GCAC Red with a solid 25-20, 20-25, 25-19 win over Loyola on the road. The Wolfpack was led by Jill Bennett with 14 kills and Lauren Brunsvold with 12 kills. Bridget McCarthy (8 kills) and Alysa Ross (15 assists) also kept the Pack rolling as Coach Eastman and Coach Ryan hit the 299 win mark. Next up Fenwick at home Thursday at 6:00 PM.

The Wolfpack moved to 12-6 overall and stayed undefeated in the GCAC Red Division with a 25-23, 25-11 win over Fenwick at home. Jill Bennett 10 kills,  Bridget McCarthy 9 kills and Maria Gazzi 16 digs led the Wolfpack in front of a fantastic crowd. The win was #300 for Coaches Eastman and Ryan in their 13 seasons together leading the program.

The Wolfpack defeated De La Salle on Senior Night 19-25, 25-22, 25-14 in front on a great home crowd. A slow start for the Wolfpack in game one was erased by the play of Jill Bennett (7 block, 15 kils) and Kate Danaher (9 digs, 11 assists). Bridget McCarthy (6 kills, 9 digs), Hannah Schubrych (9 kills), Maria Gazzi (22 digs) and Alysa Ross (12 assits, 8 digs) also contributed to moving the Pack to 17-11 overall and 5-2 in the GCAC Red.

The Wolfpack moved to 20-15 with a 25-14, 25-21 win over Morton to open the IHSA playoffs. Jill Bennett had 11 kills and Maria Gazzi had 16 digs to lead the Pack who will now play Thursday in the IHSA Regional Final at home at 6:00 p.m.

  IHSA Regional Champions!!!
The Wolfpack (21-15) blocked their way to a 25-16, 25-21 two game win over the Spartans of Oak Lawn on Thursday night at home. The win marked the 21st IHSA Regional Title in the program's history and the 7th under Head Coach Erik Eastman. The Wolfpack was led by Jill Bennett (11 kills and 4 blocks), Alysa Ross (11 assists) and Maria Gazzi (25 digs). Maria's 25 digs moved over the 500 mark for the second straight season as she becomes the only player in Ignatius history to record over 500 digs in a single season twice in her career. The Pack will take on Whitney Young Monday at home in the IHSA Sectional Semi-Final at 6:30 p.m.

The Wolfpack Played well at the Crystal Lake Tournament taking 4th place overall. The Pack defeated Geneoa Kingston and Marian Central but fell short against Prairie Ridge in pool play. The Wolfpack made it to the semi-finals where they had two hard losses to Naperville North and Prairie Ridge once again.  The Pack was led by McKenzie Washington (21 kills, 7 aces),  Arrianna Pascente (16 kills, 5 aces), and Lauren McDonald (15 kills, 7 blocks).

The Wolfpack went 2-1 over the weekend at the Lyons Quad.  After a great come back in game 1 against Lyons A, the team couldn't hang on for the win and dropped the match 25-22, 14-25, 9-15. After a slow start in the second match against Lyons B, the Wolfpack came back and won the match in three games, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11. The Wolfpack faced Stagg for the last match of the day and took care of business in two games, 25-23, 25-17. Katherine Randall led the Pack with a total of 19 kills, two aces and 42 digs for the day. Bridgie Gallagher added 13 kills and Tori Villanueva dished 31 assists.

  Wolfpack Open GCAC Play with Win
The Wolfpack (8-2 overall, 1-0 GCAC) defeated Montini last night, 25-16, 23-25, 25-15.  After cruising through the first game, the Pack lost steam in the second game after committing numerous hitting errors.  At 14-24, Claire Petrow stepped back to serve and fueled an exciting comeback but the Wolfpack couldn't quite get the job done and fell short 23-25. After waking up in game three the team sealed the win.  Katherine Randall led the team with nine kills and three aces.  Dylan Barron had six kills and Claire Petrow ended the match with nine aces.

The Wolfpack went 2-1 over the weekend at the York Tournament.  After a slow start against Glenbard West, the Pack woke up and closed a big gap to take game one.  The Wolfpack lost steam and dropped game two, but came back for an impressive third game and took the match 25-20, 18-25, 15-11. In the second match, the Wolfpack had hoped to redeem themselves against York, after dropping Wednesday night's match.  Unfortunately the errors added up and the team lost to York 25-16, 25-11. After a tough loss in match two, the Wolfpack regrouped and showed Waubonsie Valley how great of a team they are, winning in two, 25-11, 25-13.  Katherine Randall ended the day with 19 kills and 16 aces.  Tori Villanueva had 37 assists and Maddie Perkovich had 27 digs and four aces.  Great job Wolfpack!

  Wolfpack Move to 2-0 in the GCAC
The Wolfpack came out strong against Loyola on Tuesday night and never looked back.  Playing their best volleyball of the season, they took down Loyola 25-21, 25-21. Katherine Randall had seven kills and an ace and Sophia Tallud and Dylan Barron had three kills apiece. The Pack is now 11-3 this season.

  McAuley Holds Off Wolfpack
The Wolfpack battled in three games against McAuley, but fell short Tuesday night, 15-25, 25-21, 19-25. After a slow start in game one, the team woke up in game two and gave the Macs a run for their money. Hitting and serving errors started adding up in the third game and the Wolfpack fell short, moving to 13-5 this season.  Maddie Perkovich had an outstanding defensive night with 24 digs.

  Spartans Defeat Wolfpack
The Wolfpack dropped a road match to St. Francis Thursday night. The team was still on the bus in game one losing 25-9. The Wolfpack turned things around in Game 2 with a 7-0 start but St. Francis came back and eventually tied it at 20.  It was point for point but the Wolfpack couldn't hang on for the victory, dropping game two 26-24. Tori Villanueva had 13 assists and an ace and Sam Florey had five kills and two aces. The team is now 13-6 and heads to the Plainfield South Tournament this weekend.

  Pack Win Bronze at PS Invite
The Wolfpack went 3-1-1 over the weekend and took first place in the Bronze Division of the Plainfield South Tournament. After a slow start against Oswego East (12-25,18-25), the team defeated Morton 25-11, 25-18. During the last match of pool play against Plainfield North, the Wolfpack split the match 16-25, 25-23 and took third place in pool play. After a long break, the team was ready for tournament play. The Wolfpack took down Oswego in two, 25-16, 25-22 and finished the day against Romeoville with a 25-7, 22-25, 17-15 victory.

The Pack dropped their last home match of the season to De La Salle 25-20, 23-25, 22-25. After winning the first set, the team was down 3-13 in the second set, came back to tie it and then it was point for point until the end. The Wolfpack once again battled back and forth in set three but could not hold on and eventually fell to the Meteors. Katherine Randall had nine kills and Bridgie Gallagher added seven kills.

  Wolfpack Take 5th at GCAC
The Pack ended the season with a 19-10-1 record after the GCAC Tournament. The Wolfpack came out strong in their first match of the day, taking a lead of 18-1 over Regina and holding on to win the match 25-13, 25-16. Next up was a rematch against De La Salle. The Wolfpack battled in three games but fell short 19-25, 25-23, 22-25. The team took care of business in the third match of the day against DePaul Prep, winning 25-12, 25-9. In the last match of the day, playing for 5th place, the Wolfpack faced Resurrection and ended the season with a win, 25-16, 25-22. Sam Himes finished the day with 14 kills and five aces. Tori Villanueva had 31 assists and seven aces. Claire Petrow had 20 assists and eight aces. Congratulations to everyone on a great season!

The Pack improved their record to 4-0 with a win over Whitney Young yesterday with some strong serving. Maddie Gardner lead the way from the line with 5 service aces. Lucrezia Rondelli tallied three of her own. The offense was lead by Julia Kalinsky with 5 kills on the night. Strong defensive play from Cate Meyer, Nadia Laplanche, Ashley Capizzi, and Paige Buikema contributed to the win as well.

  Wolfpack Take Down Mighty Macs
The Wolfpack had a huge win last night over GCAC rival Mother McAuley. The Mighty Macs kept it close, but the Wolfpack prevailed with a 25-23, 25-23 win. Lucrezia Rondelli served for 12 points to help the Wolfpack come from behind in game two. Keys defensive play was seen by Cate Meyer and Nadia Laplanche. The Wolfpack improved their overall record to 14-5.

  Wolfpack 2nd at York Invite
The Wolfpack took 2nd place at the York invite this past weekend. The Wolfpack won their pool to advance to the championship bracket with a tie against York 25-21, 21-25, a win against Jacobs 25-9, 25-17, and a win against Glenbard South 25-3, 25-7. They beat Batavia 25-17, 25-19 to advance to the Championship game against Lyons Township. Ignatius fought hard against a strong hitting LT squad but came up a little short with a 24-26, 20-25 loss. Meg Boyle had an exceptional day in the middle with 25 total kills. Cate Meyer was also strong on defense all day with 24 digs. Ignatius improves their overall season record to 17-7-1.
