GCAC Champions!!!

The Wolfpack added the Outdoor Championship to the Indoor one earned in March with a 47-point margin over the nearest opponent. The team won nine of the 18 Red Division events. The four GCAC championship relays teams were - 4x800 - Gabriella Duque, Emma Valencia, Elle Sheaffer, Courtney Beatty; 4x200 - Tori Scott, Sophia Mendoza, Chika Ezike, Tylar Mayberry; 4x400 - Maeve Griffin, Meghan Semmer, Duque, Annika Swan; 4x100 - Scott, Mendoza, Ezike, Maliyah Miller. The 4x100 broke the meet and school records. Scott added a victory in the Long Jump, Miller won the 100 and 400. Swan broke her own meet record in the 1600. In the 800 she broke the meet record, the all-time stadium record and her previous school record. Semmer (800) and Mendoza (200) finished second to also earn All-GCAC honors. Lizeth Montes (3rd) and Ella Hwang (4th) earned valuable points in the 3200. The hurdlers added lots of points with their strong finishes. Alexis Nelson was fourth in both hurdle races and Megan Winters added a 5th and 6th-place finish. Scott earned a fourth medal with a 5th-place finish in the 100. Maeve Griffin was fourth in the 400 and Maliyah Miller earned her fourth medal by finishing fourth in the 200. Maeve Houlihan placed 3rd and 4th in the horizontal jumps, Claire Mangan was third in the Triple Jump, Zzaje Jean was seventh in the Shot Put, Hwang was sixth in the 1600 and Emme Alexander achieved a PR while finishing sixth in the High Jump.
