Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Parent’s Organization of Saint Ignatius wants to welcome you to the 2018-19 school year at Saint Ignatius College Prep!  It is an exciting time for the students filled with anticipation of the new year, seeing old friends, meeting new friends and all the new experiences that go along with high school!  As our school gets ready to welcome the students, the Parent’s Organization is getting ready to welcome the parents and guardians to a new year filled with social events, class-wide masses, and a couple meetings where we discuss and learn about current topics of interest.

As Ignatius parents, you are automatically members of The Saint Ignatius Parent Organization. The Parent Organization offers the opportunity for you to meet other parents at one of the many school events we host throughout the year.  There are several ways to become involved in the Organization. Some of our activities include:

  • Planning and assisting with events such as the annual Mini-Class Night, the Open House, Class Masses, Post Prom and various parent social and service events
  • Helping hosting two fun filled social events: Backyard BBQ – September 21 and Trivia Night in February. Two events not to be missed!
  • Two Parent Organization Meetings – one in the fall, one in the spring. Everyone is welcome to these speaker events.

The important thing is to get involved!  Our children are here for such a short period of time, we would love to see you make the most of it!

Our ParentTalks Panel will be held on October 18th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in McGlaughlin Room. This forum presents an invaluable opportunity to hear and get answers to things that you just aren’t able to draw out of the WolfPack post or any of the many other communication vehicles available to parents. We hope that you can join us.

There will be three dynamic speakers representing three different area of our Faculty allowing you to hear, first-hand the new and exciting things that are happening this year and in the coming years. Below are the speakers scheduled to attend along with topic to be addressed:

  • Maura Maloney, the Assistant Principal of Academics. She will cover topics such as the dual credit program with St. Louis University, the revisions to the math and science programs and others.
