Library Hours of Operation

Our library is open on school days from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Resources and Services

Our library offers a wide range of resources and services to our students including a book collection of 26,000 volumes, a reference collection of 3,000 volumes, a periodical collection of 100 current titles with extensive back issues and bound volumes. In addition, we receive the following newspaper subscriptions: Chicago Sun-Times, Wall Street Journal, and The New World.

Electronic Resources

Gale Group collection includes: Opposing Viewpoints, Student Resources in Context, Gale Virtual Reference Library - this is an on-line database providing full-text articles from general interest magazines, scholarly journals, newspapers, encyclopedias and reference books.

Ebsco provides full text articles from magazines, journals, and newspapers via 6 separate databases. Ebsco also includes Novelist Plus – a reader's advisory database which is great for exploring fiction/non-fiction titles and authors.

Newsbank provides access to newspapers from around the globe and the Chicago Tribune Historical Archive.

We also feature the Encyclopedia Britannica and Image Quest from Britannica and the Oxford English Dictionary.

Other Resources

In addition to the above resources, our students have borrowing the University of Illinois at Chicago. We also have an extensive DVD and video collection and lend Flip and digital cameras.
