Varsity head coaches Sean Mason and Zach Abraham are both graduates of Saint Ignatius ’96. Both earned All-Catholic League honors while competing for the Wolfpack baseball team. Mason graduated and played at Harvard University while Abraham played at Emory University before transferring and graduating from University of Arizona. Prior to taking over the Saint Ignatius baseball program in 2011, Mason and Abraham built a successful baseball program at Jones College Prep. In their five years at Jones, the program elevated to one of the perennial top baseball teams in the Chicago Public League capturing three IHSA 3A Regional Championships and two IHSA 3A Sectional Championships. As Graduates of Saint Ignatius, Mason and Abraham understand and welcome the challenge of upholding the history, tradition, and excellence of Wolfpack athletics.
