Last Season Recap

The 2012 Wolfpack season was the 'Tale of Two Seasons'. The first season saw the Wolfpack lose four in a row and suffer some heartbreaking losses. The first of the four came on a beautiful summer night at Soldier Field and the Pack didn't want to disappoint the large number of fans that came out. The game proved to be tougher than expected and the Wolfpack came up short, losing 7-0 in overtime to Whitney Young. That game, combined with three more losses, left the Wolfpack scrambling for a victory. Week five started the second season and what was a lost year turned out to be a historic one. The Wolfpack not only won three of their last five games but, for the first time since 1945, won the Catholic League Red Division and hosted a play-off game at Saint Ignatius Field. In all, the Wolfpack played three overtime games and beat two of the teams they had lost to the year before, and the future of the program is extremely bright. The freshmen finished 5-3-1 and the sophomores finished 7-2 and won the CCL Red Division with a perfect 4-0 record. The varsity football team had a record eight All-Conference players led by junior Kyle Robinson, sophomore Frank DiLeo and seniors Brandon Bobor, Zeb McLaurin, Paddy Geary, Joe Javorski and Luke O'Connell who was also named to the All-State All-Academic team. For the second year in a row, Saint Ignatius had the conference Offensive Player of the Year - Malcolm May. The Wolfpack would like to thank all who supported them throughout the 2012 campaign.
