Introduction
The Saint Ignatius Wolfpack golf program will instill the needed qualities of faith,
discipline, determination and commitment in each individual and focus those qualities
into a philosophy of selflessness and giving to the school community and team in
order to achieve excellence and build a foundation for lifelong success.

Coach Sexton has spent 20+ years with Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, in Lemont IL.
During his tenure at Cog Hill, Coach Sexton has been active in assisting the Golf
Digest Golf Schools, Tom Paxson Golf School and the DeDe Ownes Golf School. He also
has extensive knowledge in club fitting from having spent time working with the
Callaway/Top Flite Company. Coach Sexton was named the 2002 and 2004 Regional Club
Fitter of the Year by PING golf.
Last Season Recap
The Wolfpack finished the season with a 7-2 conference record and an overall 8-3
dual record. The team fared well in their 18-hole invitational matches, finishing
1st at the McHenry Invitational, 2nd at the St. Laurence Invitational and 4th at
the Nazareth and Lyons Township Invitationals. The Wolfpack finished in 3rd Place
at the Chicago Catholic League Conference tournament and 1st Place in the IHSA Regional
hosted by Saint Ignatius, winning their first title in 10 years. Shamus Fitzpatrick
earned his third trip to the IHSA finals where he finished with scores of 78-79
to place 21st in the state competition. Senior Brendan Allen also earned his first
trip to the state competition. Brendan finished 99-91 to finish 109 in the state.
The JV Pack finished the season with a 4-4 conference record and an overall 5-5
dual record. The JV squad finished in 1st Place at the St. Rita Frosh Invitational,
2nd Place at the Providence Kick-off and 3rd Place at the Chicago Catholic League
Conference tournament. Freshmen Brendan Downey, Dan Parilla and Andy Scanlon finished
in the top five at the St. Rita Invite. Sophomores Andy Oleniczak and Sean Lowery
finished in 2nd place in the 4th Annual Fenton 2-Man JV Invite.
