The Wolfpack boys swimming and diving program uses a combination of threshold training, active rest and VO2 max swimming in addition to drylands, weights and plyo-metrics to get ready for the season. In the past 17 years, both swimming and diving teams have had 95 state qualifiers for 474 events, 121 All-Americans, 366 sectional champions and 180 conference champions. The Wolfpack swim team has been named IHSA Team Academic Achievement winners for 17 consecutive years.
The Boys Swimming and Diving season runs from mid-November to late February and is a winter sport. It has two levels; Junior Varsity and Varsity.

Pack 3rd at MCAC Championships
The Wolfpack placed third overall at the 2025 MCAC Fresh-Soph Championship. Relay team of sophomore Colin Corby, sophomore Deven Emerson, freshman Kelton Szerlong, and freshman Henry Facer were runner-ups in the 200 medley relay. Freshman Will Rauch was third in the 200 freestyle with Corby picking up seventh place. Emerson and fellow sophomore Gio McNeill put up big points for the Wolfpack with a third and fifth place finish in the 50 freestyle. Szerlong and Rauch scored second and third in the 100 butterfly, smashing their best times. Emerson and McNeill secured third and sixth in the 100 freestyle. Facer was double ninth place in the 50 and 100 freestyle behind Emerson and McNeill. Relay team of Rauch, McNeill, Corby, and Facer were third place in the 200 freestyle relay. Szerlong and Corby picked up second and eighth place in the 100 backstroke. Relay team of McNeill, Rauch, Emerson, and Szerlong closed out the meet with a runner-up finish in the 400 freestyle relay. Wolfpack Win 5th Straight MCAC Championship!
Wolfpack complete Five-Peat at the MCAC Varsity Championships! Saint Ignatius College Prep Boys Swimming and Diving captured their fifth consecutive title at the 2025 MCAC Varsity Championships! The Wolfpack was also third place at the Fresh-Soph Championships. B relay team of Junior Owen Snow, Senior Adrian Rosado, and Senior James Corby teamed up with Senior Captain Rohan Robinson to place tenth in the 200 medley relay and eleventh in the 200 freestyle relay. Junior Jack Stenander was twenty-first in the 200 freestyle and nineteenth in the 500 Freestyle. Junior Will Melby was eleventh in the 200 IM. Rosado scored fourteenth in the 100 butterfly. Corby placed eighteenth in the 100 freestyle. Melby and Snow picked up fourteenth and fifteenth in the 100 backstroke to score big points for the Wolfpack. Wolfpack Sweep Friars and Crusaders
The Wolfpack won against Brother Rice and Fenwick at the annual Triangular at Fenwick. Junior Will Melby and Senior James Corby swept the 200 IM. Sophomore Gio McNeill won the 50 freestyle. Senior Adrian Rosado won the 100 butterfly in a season best time. James Corby secured a runner-up finish in the 100 freestyle. Junior Owen Snow picked up a best time in the 500 freestyle with Junior Jack Stenander scoring sixth with a new season best. Snow later won the 100 backstroke by more than 2 seconds. Melby finished off the individual events with another win in the 100 breaststroke. Wolfpack relays won the 200 medley relay and split first and third place in both in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.Read More -
Young Defeats Wolfpack
The Pack fell to Whitney Young on Senior Night, however, picked up many new season and personal best times. Junior Jack Stenander was fourth in the 200 freestyle. Junior Owen Snow picked up first place in the 200 IM with a new personal best. Sophomore Gio McNeill and Freshman Henry Facer scored second and fourth in the 50 freestyle. Facer later secured fourth place in the 100 freestyle with a new personal best. Senior Adrian Rosado won the 100 butterfly with a new season best time. Junior Will Melby and Stenander split first and third in the 500 with Melby picking up a new best time. Snow and Sophomore Colin Corby followed suit and split for first and third in the 100 backstroke. Melby finished the individual events with a runner-up performance in the 100 breaststroke. Wolfpack relays won the 200 medley relay, second and third in the 200 freestyle relay, and first and third in the 400 freestyle relay. The Wolfpack will move on to the MCAC Championships next week at Loyola Academy.Read More -
Eagles Top Pack
The Wolfpack competed at the Windy City Showdown II at Jones College Prep against Jones-Payton Co-op falling to the Eagles 86-82. Sophomore Colin Corby was seventh in the 200 freestyle for a new personal best. Junior Will Melby won the 200 IM with a new season best. Senior Adrian Rosado and Junior Gio McNeill placed third and fourth in the 50 freestyle. Rosado and fellow Senior James Corby went season-best times in the 100 butterfly for fourth and sixth place. McNeill placed fifth in the 100 freestyle with a new personal best time. Senior Jack Stenander and Freshman Leo Fallara placed fifth and sixth respectively in the 500 freestyle. Colin Corby unleashed a new personal best to place fourth in the 100 backstroke. Melby placed second in the 100 breaststroke, establishing a new season-best time. Loyola Defeats Pack
The Wolfpack faced off against Loyola Academy falling 95-65 in dual meet. Freshman Leo Fallara placed fourth in the 200 freestyle with a new personal best. Junior Will Melby scored second in the 200 IM with a new season best. Senior Adrian Rosado and Sophomore Gio McNeill placed first and third in the 50 freestyle, both picking up season-best times. Freshman Will Rauch teamed up with Rosado to pick up second and third in the 100 butterfly. McNeiil and Freshman Henry Facer scored third and fourth place in the 100 freestyle. Fallara scored third in the 500 freestyle with a new personal best time. Corby brothers, James and Colin, went first and second in the 100 backstroke. Melby capped off the individual events with a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke. Relay team of J Corby, Melby, Rauch, and McNeill won the 200 medley relay. Relay team of J Corby, Melby, McNeill, and Rosado won the 200 freestyle relay. Relay team of Rauch, J Corby, Rosado, and C Corby were runner-ups in the 400 freestyle relay. Wolfpack Win HP Early Bird Pentathlon
The Pack won the Highland Park Early Bird Pentathlon. The competition featured three levels and five events: 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke, 50 breaststroke, and 150 freestyle. Freshman Kelton Szerlong won the 50 freestyle in JV2 with a new personal best and triumphed in the 50 butterfly, winning by 0.08 seconds. He also dominated the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.37, winning by over 2 seconds. Szerlong finished fifth in the 150 freestyle and placed 2nd overall in the JV2 high point standings. Sophomore Christian Chora earned runner-up in both the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly in the JV1 category. He also won the 50 breaststroke and finished first in the JV1 high point competition. Juniors Owen Snow and Will Melby were key contributors, with Snow finishing third and Melby fifth in the 50 backstroke, and both helping to dominate the JV events. Melby also placed 5th in the 50 breaststroke, contributing 26 points. Sophomore Deven Emerson added to the team’s success with a fifth-place finish in the JV1 150 freestyle, and Snow placed eighth in the same event. Wolfpack Place 4th at Quad
The Wolfpack faced off against the University of Chicago Laboratory School, Lane Tech College Prep, and Jones-Payton Coop in an epic quad meet at the University of Chicago’s premier Gerald Ratner Center. Ignatius placed fourth overall scoring 56 points. Freshman Leo Fallara placed ninth in the 200 freestyle with a new personal best time. Senior James Corby and Sophomore Giovanni McNeill placed fourth and fifth in the 50 freestyle with season best times. Corby and Fallara placed sixth and eighth in the 100 butterfly. Freshman Kelton Szerlong and McNeill finished sixth and eighth in the 100 freestyle. Relay Team of Szerlong, Sophomore Colin Corby, McNeill, and Corby placed third in the 200 freestyle relay. Szerlong had a quick turnaround and joined Colin Corby to place fifth and eighth in the 100 backstroke.
