Please extend a warm Wolfpack welcome to Beata Swacha, our new Chief Financial Officer.
Mrs. Swacha followed her professional path to Saint Ignatius College Prep, but that's just the most recent part of her story. Born in Poland, Mrs. Swacha says she's always been analytical, open to working with others and interested in financial matters. She also says when she was a child her nickname was "boska" (which means "boss lady") because she took charge of things that needed to be done.
Mrs. Swacha has dedicated a couple of decades to building a career in finance, strategy and leadership. She is the mother of three beautiful teenagers and she loves working with young people. It's one of the reasons she's excited to be here at 1076 West Roosevelt Road. She talked about the opportunity the CFO position offers:
"My faith has always been my foundation in life, and to be able to marry that with what I'm good at professionally is something I never thought I'd be able to do," said Mrs. Swacha, "It's my job to make sure Saint Ignatius is positioned to continue providing this unbelievable experience for generations to come. My role is to help make dreams come true and leave the school in a better place for the next 150 years."
Saint Ignatius College Prep, a Jesuit Catholic school in the heart of Chicago, is a diverse community dedicated to educating young men and women for lives of faith, love, service and leadership.
