Garduna Becomes 1st IHSA State Finals Qualifier!!!

The Wolfpack sent five girls to the IHSA Sectional this Saturday and placed 20th with 22 points. Freshman GG Garduna became the first girls wrestler in school history to qualify for the IHSA State Finals! With a 23-2 record coming into the meet at 140 pounds Garduna had a bye in the first round. In round two, she pinned her opponent from Grayslake in :30 and then defeated her TF South opponent by a 6-5 decision. In the championship match the Trevians form New Trier stopped her run with a 13-5 decision but not her bid to the IHSA State Finals. The IHSA State Finals will be held in Bloomington, IL at the Grossinger Motor Arena on 2/16 and 2/17. Come out and see history!
