IHSA Sectional Champions!!!

The Wolfpack won the 2024 IHSA Sectional Championship, marking their third consecutive IHSA Sectional title. This year's competition was something truly special with the Wolfpack breaking 6 school records, 5 meet records, and will send the following 9 athletes to the IHSA State Championships: Senior Charles Tracy, Senior Peter Nolan, Senior Stephen Grud, Senior Jonathan Blackman, Senior Aaron Grgurovic, Junior Biko Hooper-Haviland, Sophomore Carmine Fallara, Sophomore James Guth, and Freshman Connor Gunderson. Freshman Conor Gunderson won the diving competition with a score of 376; his personal best. Peter Nolan and Biko Hooper-Haviland swept the 200 free with Nolan breaking the varsity school and meet record. Charles Tracy won the 200 IM. Stephen Grud won the 50 free and broke the varsity school record. Jonathan Blackman was third in the 50 with a personal best and first time under the 22-second mark. Aaron Grgurovic and James Guth placed second and third in the 100 butterfly with new personal bests. Nolan and Grud swept the 100 free, both going personal bests, and Nolan captured his third school record in the event. Hooper-Haviland and Tracy swept the 500 free with Hooper-Haviland breaking the meet record. Guth and Blackman were second and fifth in the 100 backstroke, both going best times. Carmine Fallara and Rohan Robinson went double best times in the 100 breast with Fallara scoring third and Robinson eighth. The 200 Medley Relay team of Tracy, Grud, Grgurovic, and Guth reset the newly minted school record and scored the victory over Jones-Payton. The 200 Free Relay of Nolan, Hooper-Haviland, Blackman, and Grud won and broke the school record. 400 Free Relay Hooper-Haviland, Tracy, Guth, and Nolan routed the field, won, and are within 1.5 seconds of the school record.
