Wolfpack Stumble at Meet of the Century

The Pack (43 points/42 points) fell to Stevenson (144 points) and New Trier (143 points) in a meet labeled the “Tri-Meet of the Century”. For the third year in a row, the meet did not disappoint with many season-best performances and best times achieved by the Wolfpack. Junior Alexis Nelson and Freshmen Knox Kruk were ninth and tenth in the 1m diving competition. Junior Angela Wideikis and Freshmen Greta Mikulaninec scored eighth and ninth in the 200 freestyle with season best times. Sophomore Livia Cremer and Junior Colleen Tracy were fifth and sixth in the 200 IM. Senior Madi Manning was seventh in the 50 freestyle with a season best time. Junior Franchesca Sanchez was fourth in the 100 butterfly. Junior Liepa Niaura was fifth in the 100 freestyle with Mikulaninec and Wideikis placing seventh and eighth with season best times. Cremer and Sophomore Mariposa Arroyo scored third and fifth in an epic 500 freestyle race. Niaura and Sanchez scored fourth and sixth in the 100 backstroke. Arroyo closed out the individual events with an eighth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. The Wolfpack relays were top 12 in the 200 medley and top 10 in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays respectively.
