The Wolfpack (9-3 overall; 1-1 GCAC) faced the two time defending 4A state champions and #1 rankled team in the state on Tuesday. The Mighty Macs showed their teeth early and the Pack was not able to get anything going in a 25-11, 25-11 loss. Mariella Ciaravino led the Wolfpack serve receive and defense as she passed at a 1.70 clip with 14 digs on the night. In her first match on the outside, captain Sydney DeProfio led the Pack with 5 kills while junior Skylar Greene added 4 kills. The milestone of the night though was set by Audrey Schabes (10 assists) who hit the 1,000 assist mark on the dot for her career as a junior. The varsity standout has ran the Pack offense for the past three seasons. The Pack travels down state to Champaign this weekend for the Champaign Central Invite.
