SCHOOL NEWS
Girls Cross Country - State Champs!!!
The team made program and state history last Saturday by winning the IHSA 2A State Championship at Detweiller Park in Peoria, IL. Winning its very first IHSA state championship with an overall team score of 76, the Wolfpack won in a dominant performance, defeating second place DePaul College Prep by 101 points, and third place Chatham by 141 points. The win was the largest margin of victory (boys and girls) for any of the IHSA State Championship meets this season. The Wolfpack also became the very first Chicago-based high school to win an IHSA girls cross country state championship, in any classification, in state history. The Pack was led by Annika Swan (16:27.80), who finished second overall, along with Allison Shutler (9th, 17:13.85) and Greta Sheaffer (23rd, 17:46.21), who each received individual medals for finishing in the top-25. Lizeth Montes, Rory Steinhofer, Olivia Brophy and Elle Sheaffer also contributed to the state championship-winning performance.
