CHICAGOLAND GETS TO SEE SAINT IGNATIUS COLLEGE PREP!
Saint Ignatius College Prep was in a big spotlight on New Year's Eve! Our beloved campus was the site for Countdown Chicago 2025, the annual end-of-year production that airs on ABC 7.
Years running, now, it's the most watched broadcast in the city of Chicago. That means eyes all over Chicagoland got a look at 1076 West Roosevelt Road. They also got to see some of our students and President John Chandler, who were part of the production.
The collaboration with ABC 7, The Jesse White Tumblers and the South Shore Drill Team told the story of a dreadfully boring high school dance that two teachers (Morning Anchor Terrell Brown and Chief Meteorologist Cheryl Scott) brought to life. Mr. Brown and Ms. Scott danced through the third floor gym, our hallways, the library, Tully Hall, and the Quad. The celebrational ending was on Fornelli '51 Field, where the whole cast danced under the skyline. We've included the video with this article. Please click HERE to watch!

Our students helped land this project (we were competing against other schools) by orchestrating a flash mob dance (kudos to the Saint Ignatius College Prep Dance Team) and a "clap in" for the ABC 7 Team. Student enthusiasm certainly helped our site win in the selection process!! Thank you!!
