The Wolfpack (192 points) defeated the Deerfield Warriors (33 points) and Lane Tech Champions (107 points) to open the 2024 competition season at Deerfield. The Wolfpack opened the meet with a sweep of the 200 medley relay with a first and second-place finish. Freshman Maggie Dirlam placed fifth in the 200 freestyle. Sophomore Isabella Curiel placed second in the 200 IM. Sophomore Isabella Hobson and Sasha Weffer placed third and fourth in the 50 freestyle. Senior Sophia Steuer was fourth overall in the 1m diving competition. Junior Sadie Ward and Senior Peyton Davidson placed third and fourth respectively in the 100 butterfly. Sophomore Kennedy Riley won the 100 freestyle with Hobson scoring fourth place. Curiel won the 500 freestyle in an in-season best. The Wolfpack split the 200 freestyle relay for first and third place. Weffer and Ward scored third and fourth in the 100 backstroke. Riley placed third in the 100 breaststroke with Junior Emory Alford with a key fourth place. Saint Ignatius closed the meet with a sweep of the 400 freestyle relay, scoring big points for the win and second place.
