Wolfpack Take to Home Waters at Tough Cup

The Wolfpack competed again on their home waters in this past weekend's Tough Cup where they went up against the likes of New Trier, Evanston, and many other local rowing clubs. The Wolfpack posted another weekend of very impressive results. In the Men's Varsity 4+, Saint Ignatius (Sally Novy C'25, Jack Tarpy C'25, Tien Lui C'27, Danny Shutler C'27, Teddy Chong C'25) fought for a 2nd place finish while the Men's Novice 4+ (Sophie Marcus C'28, Joe Senechalle C'28, Albert Flores C'27, Alex Thurston C'28, Andrii Labiak C'28) secured a 1st place finish in their race. In the Women's Varsity 4+ (Libby McMahon C'25, Mary Schmitz C'25, Eleanora Murer C'25, Lucy Bruns C'25, Sophie Shaughnessy C'26) and 8+ (Rory Church C'25, Sophie Shaughnessy C'26, Eleanora Murer C'25, Mary Schmitz C'25, Lucy Bruns C'25, Maura Dollear C'26, Issa Illarde C'25, Maeve Tarpy C'27, Reese Anderson C'27) event, Saint Ignatius battled hard against very competitive fields, finishing 4th in each of their events. Next up - the Varsity team travels to Milwaukee this weekend for the Milwaukee River Challenge while the Novice team heads to Skokie to battle Loyola and Culver.
