The Pack won the Highland Park Early Bird Pentathlon. The competition featured three levels and five events: 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke, 50 breaststroke, and 150 freestyle. Freshman Kelton Szerlong won the 50 freestyle in JV2 with a new personal best and triumphed in the 50 butterfly, winning by 0.08 seconds. He also dominated the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.37, winning by over 2 seconds. Szerlong finished fifth in the 150 freestyle and placed 2nd overall in the JV2 high point standings.
Sophomore Christian Chora earned runner-up in both the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly in the JV1 category. He also won the 50 breaststroke and finished first in the JV1 high point competition. Juniors Owen Snow and Will Melby were key contributors, with Snow finishing third and Melby fifth in the 50 backstroke, and both helping to dominate the JV events. Melby also placed 5th in the 50 breaststroke, contributing 26 points. Sophomore Deven Emerson added to the team’s success with a fifth-place finish in the JV1 150 freestyle, and Snow placed eighth in the same event. The Wolfpack won the JV1 team competition and placed fifth in the JV2 team competition.
