The Wolfpack opened the Windy City Classic with a 7-0 victory over Riverside Brookfield in the first game of the season. The win means that the team will stay in the main bracket and play Lincoln Way East on their home field at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keeper Ava Stern had a shutout and Lauren Reed led the scoring with a hat trick followed by two goals each from Fallon Urquhart and Kayla Washington. Also contributing was freshman Chessie Besztery with three assists in her first start for the program while Junior Lili Garcia contributed a pair of assists.
