The boys volleyball program at Saint Ignatius competes in the Chicago Catholic League. Our program aims to mold student-athletes into exceptional volleyball players. We teach the game of volleyball while building core values: teamwork, integrity, discipline and friendship. Our players are expected to give their personal best at all times while working to achieve competitive greatness through hard work. Our season begins in early March and finishes with IHSA state playoffs in late May or early June.

When he’s not in the classroom teaching AP Calculus and AP Physics, you’ll find Todd Strobel holding court. He leads the Saint Ignatius College Prep Boys Volleyball program. With Strobel at the helm, the Wolfpack has won two CCL White Championships, two Regional Championships, and clinched its first Sectional Championship, earning a trip to the State Finals in 2022. In 2023, Coach Strobel was named the CCL-White Lawless Coach of the Year. Prior to taking over as varsity head coach, Strobel was an assistant coach in the program for 11 years.
